Condor Country Consulting, Inc. is proud to be one of the local businesses to help the Friends of Alhambra Creek bring this public art project to the Martinez community.
The new mural, located on the underpass of Highway 4 on Alhambra Way, includes spectacular imagery of native flora, fauna and species, including the California newt, great blue heron, North American river otter, and monarch butterfly. Each species displayed on the Alhambra Way Mural is native to the Martinez, CA area.
Native species occur naturally and are well adapted to survive local conditions. Our native plants and animals evolved together, building unique relationships with one another. They play a vital role in maintaining the balance and biodiversity of ecosystems.
The mural was designed and painted by Tim Hon of the Illuminaries, with volunteer help.
